Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE] · Draft version 0.1

In short: a parent or guardian holds the account and is responsible for how their children use Earn2Play. Points are a reward tool, not money: they have no cash value until the parent approves a gift card and pays for it. We never show ads to children.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("Earn2Play", "we") for the Earn2Play parent app, kids app and website (the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, including children's data, and forms part of these terms.

2. Who can use the Service

  • Accounts are for parents or legal guardians aged 18 or over ("Parent").
  • Children aged 4–16 may use the kids app only through a profile created by their Parent and a device the Parent has linked. The Parent accepts these terms on the child's behalf and supervises the child's use.
  • Children may not create accounts, and may not use the Service if their Parent has not consented.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and don't share link codes with anyone outside your family. You are responsible for activity on your account and your linked devices. You can unlink a child's device at any time, which signs it out immediately.

4. Tasks, points and rewards

  • Parents create tasks and decide how many points each is worth. Points are credited only when a Parent approves a task (or when the Parent has turned on automatic approval for counted exercises).
  • Points are not money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred between families, and cannot be exchanged except for rewards the Parent approves within the Service.
  • When a Parent approves a reward request, the Parent pays for the gift card at the price shown. Gift cards are supplied by third-party providers and are subject to the issuer's own terms. Delivered gift card codes are generally non-refundable; if delivery fails, the points are returned.
  • We may correct points that were credited by mistake or through abuse of the Service.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Some features may require a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods and cancellation terms are shown before you buy. Payments are processed by our payment provider; app-store purchases are subject to Apple's or Google's terms. [Legal review: cooling-off and refund rights for EU/UK consumers.]

6. Physical activity

Exercise tasks are light, everyday movements for fun, not medical or professional training advice. Parents should choose activities suitable for their child, make sure there is enough safe space, and supervise as needed. Stop if the child feels pain or discomfort. Rep counting is automatic and may not always be accurate.

7. Learning content

Lessons are generated with the help of AI and reviewed by automated safety checks. They are meant to be educational and age-appropriate but may occasionally contain mistakes. Parents can report content to hello@earn2play.net.

8. Photos and content you upload

You keep ownership of photos and other content your family uploads. You give us permission to store and display it to your family solely to provide the Service. Don't upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or shows people outside your family without their permission.

9. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no attempts to access other families' data, interfere with the Service, reverse engineer it to obtain points or rewards, or use it for commercial purposes.

10. Ending your account

You can delete child profiles or your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put children at risk; where reasonable we will tell you first. Unredeemed points are forfeited when an account is deleted.

11. Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep the Service available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded. [Legal review.]

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will give notice of material changes in the parent app at least [30] days in advance. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without prejudice to mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. Contact: hello@earn2play.net · [POSTAL ADDRESS].
